Hospice Care and Support

For many, hospice can be a frightening word because it is associated with the end of life when in fact, it is specialized care and support that helps to ease the body and mind of a patient and offer the utmost in comfort for the patient and the family in a relaxed setting of their own choosing.

Respecting the wishes of the patient is an essential element of hospice care and it is our firm belief that a patient should always have options, right until the end. Unlike the often clamorous and inhumane environment of a traditional hospital, hospice patients are not hooked up to loud machines or poked hourly by medical personnel. Instead, these sensitive patients have the opportunity to spend time with their loved ones in a tranquil atmosphere of comfort and calm.

On call 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, our very special care givers provide ease, companionship and the superior support for the family. Hospice care can ease family anxiety and can offer patients immediate attention to their needs from a sympathetic ear to a delivery of a favorite food.

Hospice care can help families deal with the wide range of emotions that often surround this difficult time, offering guidance and support from social workers to chaplains. Hospice care may also include family bereavement and grief counseling, after their loved one has passed.
